Event Details
Ignite Adaptive Sports (formerly the Eldora Special Recreation Program) will host the first annual Spring Thaw on April 16, 2011. The evening fundraiser will
feature music by The Samples and a silent auction. The event will
raise funds to support Ignite with operating costs, new equipment and most importantly, scholarships for
participants of the program.
The music has been described as "reggae influenced rock/pop" and a cross
between The Police and the Grateful Dead. With their relaxed, slightly
jazzy pop, the Samples were one of the most popular touring bands of the
early '90s.

Ignite Adaptive Sports
Ignite Adaptive Sports provides recreational
snowsport opportunities for people with cognitive and/or physical disabilities.
Entering into it’s 35th-season, participants of Ignite Adaptive
Sports take part in a full spectrum of winter sports instruction including
alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. During the 2010 ski
season, Ignite provided 1011 lessons to almost 200 students from Front Range
communities. Ignite is also proud to provide lessons designed specifically for
disabled veterans.
